We are currently operating as a mobile business, which means we will come to the destination your choice! We charge a flat fee of $40.00 to travel across our current service areas, no matter your location. This also includes the charge for the first notarization. We do not calculate travel costs by the mileage, we simply use one flat rate to make pricing transparent for the client. However, as per NJ state law each Notary signature is $2.50, per signature.
In preparation for our arrival, please have a valid unexpired government issued form of primary Identification. This includes, a Driver License or Non Drivers Official Id, Military I.d, or U.S or Foreign Passport.
We cannot accept a Social Security Card, Birth Certificate or Credit Cards as primary identifying documents. These can only be used if sufficient secondary identification is needed.
Some documents may not call for a notarization in the language of the document. If that is the case, we will need to attach a Notary Certificate. There are two types of certificates that can be added to your document. These options include an Acknowledgement or a Jurat.
Jurats are used to certify the signer (you) personally appeared before a Notary, has been properly identified by the Notary and signs in the presence of a Notary swearing/affirming the information/statement is true. Jurats are frequently used for: Depositions, affidavits and other written verification that requires an oath or affirmation.
Acknowledgements are used to certify the signer (you) personally appeared before the Notary, was identified by the Notary and acknowledged signing freely. In most cases the signer is mentioned in the document. If he/she is not mentioned, the signer acknowledges they have the authority to present the document to the Notary Public. Acknowledgements are the most common forms of notarizations and are typically used with deeds and other publicly recorded documents.
We are unable to advise you on which certificate you need, however we can support you in connecting with your contact who requested the notarization!
